Give Kindly makes its money by a profit split from each product depending on our wholesale price from the supplier and the regular retail price the supplier recommends we charge the product at. The split is dependent on the margin as the entire charity component goes to the charity untarnished and untouched and the give kindly profit on each product needs to maintain all operational expenses and fund the Give Kindly operations.

Give Kindly is a business like any other, but the founders and partners of Give Kindly sought to make a living un ashamedly by making a difference and doing good as opposed to more conventional business practices. The founders and partners sought to focus on their purpose of making a difference and facilitate that through this marketplace initially and as this advances we intend to continue to invest in organizations that follow the same principals of change we intend to see.

The second reason Give Kindly is a business is that we intend to increase our foot print and maximize the change we can make. This can only be done through investment and growth. Their may be potential risks the founders may need to take in terms of losing some of their personal money. The Give Kindly Charity has really nothing to do with the business except that the business covers all overheads of the charity. The purpose of the charity Is to directly invest into infrastructure and direct projects to benefit the global community. So far a disability centre in Zimbabwe has been built with he support of the founders and the future ambitions of the charity extends to water wells, schools, hospitals orphanages and shelters. Donations can even go towards other charities potentially if they can demonstrate It has a project that falls within our charities constitution. Any infrastructure that can help make a difference. The Charity intends to fund the construction but also seeks to assist in formalizing mechanisms for the project to self sustain and continue to operate without the charities support on a 5 year plan. The give Kindly Charity is managed by Rotarys Rawcs program which means the money collected is held in trust and audited until the Charity board makes direction as to where the money should go. It is fully audited and the use of funds are transparent and transaction statements will be available for public scrutiny on the Give Kindly US social media pages every Quarter.

No they don’t, some may, some do but essentially we don’t collectively give guidance as to which charity you can support. The American Government approves the licenses of these charities to operate and so long as the US Government approves their cause as a cause for good and hence worthy of a charity we will leave it up to our consumers to elect which charities they resonate with.

If theCharity rejects your donation for whatever reason or the charity is now out of business or no longer licensed we will generally contact you and ask you for an alternative charity or recommend similar licensed causes.

Donations will be sent at the end of every financial quarter. As you can imagine we facilitate a lot of very tiny transactions on behalf of consumers to the charities. We need to do this quarterly for 3 main reasons.

1. We need to wait a fortnight after any transaction to issue the donation to ensure that in the event of a refund the consumer doesn’t lose their charity contribution as part of their refund.

2. There is significant amounts of Admin that goes on with each charity in order to audit the receipts of donation on behalf of the consumer who makes that donation.

3. We need the funds to accumulate on behalf of the charity so that the charity doesn’t expend resources on the administration greater to what it receives from the Give Kindly community. We intend too be the solution to their resource issues not the cause of it.

Generally speaking if you are eligible for a full refund you will also get your charity component refunded also. You may elect to keep the charity component on route to the charity if you wish to keep giving kindly without the receiving of your product.
